Key Characteristics
Flame Retardant (FR): Self-extinguishing, non-melting, and resists high temperatures, preventing fire spread.
High Strength: Five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis, with excellent tensile strength.
Unidirectional (UD): Fibers run in one primary direction, offering maximum strength and stiffness along that axis, ideal for composites.
Lightweight: Provides high protection without adding significant weight.
Abrasion & Cut Resistant: Excellent for protective gear and industrial uses.
Chemical Resistance: Unaffected by most acids and alkalis, good mildew resistance.
Thermal Stability: Softens around 373°C (667°F) and decomposes above 400°C (752°F).
